Hills Robes & Screens is a family-owned and operated business located in Caloundra, specialising in the manufacture and installation of wardrobe internals and sliding robe doors, custom storage solutions, shower screens, custom mirrors, and glass splashbacks. We are a small team who are passionate about providing the very best service to our clients.

Sliding Wardrobe Door Fabricator

Start Date: Immediately

Full-time schedule: 38 hours/week, Mon-Thu 7am-3:30pm, Fri 7am-1:30pm.

About the Role

We are looking to employ a high-energy, hard-working, and reliable individual to join our team. The selected candidate will work in our Caloundra factory and will be responsible for fabricating sliding wardrobe doors and assisting in the management of the workshop.

Skills & Experience

Prospective candidates must be able to demonstrate the following:

Good physical fitness and health, with the capability to lift heavy products.
High-quality workmanship.
Exceptional communication abilities and customer service.
Capability to work independently, display initiative, and resolve problems.
Previous experience cutting glass is preferred but not mandatory.
Possession of a manual driver’s license is preferred.
Holding a forklift license is preferred.

We offer on-site training, job security, and competitive wages. Remuneration will depend on the applicant’s experience and knowledge.

Wardrobe Installer

Start Date: Immediately

About the role

We are searching for a full-time wardrobe installer to work alongside the administration and operations team based out of our Caloundra office. The role will involve:

Installation of wardrobe internals and sliding robe doors
Assembling and completing joinery to a high standard
Interpreting plans for projects
Working on-site alongside clients without supervision
Travel around the Sunshine Coast
Going above and beyond to provide excellent customer service to clients
Completing overtime when required to meet deadlines
Communicating effectively with administration and factory staff about projects
Assist factory staff as required

Skills & Experience

Knowledge and/or experience in cabinet-making or similar
Tradesmen preferred, but willing to train the right candidate
Excellent time management and reliability
Good communication skills
Ability to work independently and without supervision
Self-motivated and ability to show initiative
Outstanding customer service and work ethic
Confident and experienced in using power tools
Driver’s license – manual is preferred

Wow! I was so concerned about the shelving being strong enough to support the heavy items I would be storing in the garage. You know how bookshelves and closet shelves sag in the middle when there are too many magazines and such? Anna was so reassuring and promised that the shelves would be reinforced so that wouldn't happen. Ben was here today and in just 4 hours he transformed my garage. It looks spectacular! I jumped on the shelves to test and they are strong! I also wanted these built-ins to be as close to dust-free as possible and they certainly look like they will do that job too. Plus their quote was $1000s less than another closet-builder. I mean it. I'm ecstatic with my new garage storage. Doesn't it look schlmick?

I had an idea for a huge photgraphic splashback 1.5 m high and 2.4 m wide for my new kitchen - but then had to find someone to make and fit it! Searching Google I found Hills - what a lucky find for me. Naomi was incredably helpful throughout the process - ensuring the photo once sourced was of a high enough resolution to work well. Shane came out to measure and check iaccess etc - we live on the 3rd floor and it was too big to fit in the lift, but I was assured they would be able to carry ii up the fire excape! It was ready earlier than I had expected and despite the drama of getting it into the apartment - it is beyond my expectations. THank you to the whole team cannot recommend them highly enough.
